This is a beautiful oiginal and unique artwork for your home. It has wonderful impact whilst also being calming. I cut these koi from a beautifully smooth hot pressed watercolour paper and painted each butterfly in high pigment professional watercolour. This is a unique artwork in both its composition and the variety of koi silhouettes and shades. The background painting is a delicate layering of watercolour in all hues of blue and green.
The artwork measures at 20 x 30 inches and haas an overall dimension of approximately 36 x26 inches and it is housed in a custom made black wooden box frame.
The koi are hand shaped and raised from the backing mount to provide shadow, movement and depth.
I have placed this piece in my own home and have enjoyed what it has to offer, as the hues and shadows shift with the light through the day.
