I paint my paper cut butterflies in two shades of golden acrylic paint and place them on a black background embellished with golden splatter marks using a gold leaf medium.
All pieces have butterflies with raised wings for the sense of them taking flight and with butterflies overlapping the mount to create beautiful shadows.
These pieces are in a 20 inch black box frame with a white mount. Each piece differs slightly with the placement of the butterflies and the butterflies will always overlap the mount to create beautiful shadows.
I can also create these pictures in 16 inch frames on request.
